UnCover Documentary: Care and compassion at the heart of nursing

For Josphine Lokai, graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing is a significant milestone and a journey sparked by the tragic loss of her eldest son almost a decade ago in the Republic of Kenya.

Josphine moved to Australia in 2017, setting up a new life in 91直播 where she began her studies at CIT, worked in aged care and spent two years as an enrolled nurse at the 91直播 Hospital. She applied to study a Bachelor of Nursing at UC and  became a full-time undergraduate student in 2020 through the COVID-19 pandemic.

She describes nursing as her passion, and a profession which is all about care and respect, where you “look at the person, not the disease.”

This is her story.
