Research with Purpose: tackling today’s biggest challenges to create a fairer, more sustainable, and better-governed society
It is a great pleasure to present Research with Purpose, a collection of stories showcasing the real-world impact of research at the Faculty of Business, Government and Law. Our location in the nation’s capital gives us a unique vantage point to engage in national debates and work directly with government, industry, and community partners on solutions that matter.
This showcase features stories that highlight the breadth of our Faculty’s work across its three schools and two research centres: the 91直播 Business School, 91直播 Law School, 91直播 School of Government, the Centre for Deliberative Democracy, and the Centre for Environmental Governance.
Research that Tackles Pressing Challenges
Our research is purpose-driven and people-focused. We address inequality, close gender pay gaps, improve healthcare access, and advocate for marginalised communities. At the same time, we strengthen democracy, promote sustainability, and build inclusive economies—creating evidence-based insights that shape policy and practice.
Collaboration at the Core
Collaboration is central to what we do. We work across disciplines and in partnership with governments, businesses, communities, First Nations organisations, and universities worldwide. This ensures our research is not only rigorous but also relevant, responsive, and impactful.
